At the headquarters of Vistula Group, there was enough space to put lar-
ge, impressive Astro D 18 chairs with wheels in the conference room. They
complement a very elegant interior, where the contrasting colours of black
and white were set together. At the same time, the combination of black and
metal in the finish of the chairs matched to the room’s colouring means that
the whole thing is aesthetically harmonious. The seemingly cool character of
the room is warmed by a large wooden table, which highlights the elegant
style of the space.
Colourful seats can often change the character of the interior to a less formal
one, without depriving it of dignity. In the unusual, fully glazed conference
room at the conference and training center of ING Bank in Katowice, yellow
upholstered chairs were placed around an oval table. By setting the clear colo-
ur of the upholstery together with a white conference room, a very consistent,
lightly toned interior was created. An interesting visual effect was also created
by contrasting the colours of chairs in the conference room at Freshmail. Its
grey toned interior features turquoise chairs from Profim, which curiously
break through the room’s colouring. Architects from Mokaa design studio
ensured the distinctness of this space, creating a modern and visually very
interesting business meeting room.
Smaller doesn’t mean worse
In offices of large companies, there is often more than one conference room.
These smaller, internal snugs for meetings of employees are as important as
representative rooms for guests. And what is significant, as places that faci-
litate creativity and constructive atmosphere, they are often rich in designer
solutions. At the Warsaw headquarters of Colliers International, the names
of conference rooms for employees relate to the leitmotif of the interior ar-
rangement. And so the office features a Picnic Room arranged in very friendly
green colours, and a Treasury Roomwith a banknote-themed wallpaper. Also,
the high quality of furniture ensures work comfort and has a positive effect
on people who use these spaces on a daily basis.
Everything that’s best in the office
When arranging an office space, one thing not to forget is that the conference
room is often a place, where meetings between business partners in different
countries are held. That’s why they should feature modern technological so-
lutions that allow you to conduct video and teleconferences in comfortable
conditions. And even if they aren’t elements that greatly impact the room’s ap-
pearance and character, their function means they are a must in any interior.
The conference room should definitely be expected to provide everything
that’s best. The overarching objective of an interior of this kind, to be re-
presentative, means it should showcase the company in the best possible
light – with both high-quality equipment and an arrangement that is consi-
stent with the firm’s business spirit. A comfortable interior should facilitate
positive impressions that the company’s guests are supposed to take home
from the conference room.
